What is Computer ?
A computer is an advanced electronic device that is capable of receiving data (input), processing it according to a set of instructions (called a program), and producing meaningful results (output).
Main Functions of a Computer
The working of a computer can be explained through the IPO cycle, which stands for Input–Process–Output.

Input:
In this stage, raw data or instructions are given to the computer using input devices like a keyboard, mouse, scanner, or microphone. -
Processing:
The Central Processing Unit (CPU) processes the input data according to the given instructions. It performs calculations, comparisons, and logical operations to convert data into useful information. -
Output:
The processed data or information is displayed through output devices such as a monitor, printer, or speakers. -
Storage:
The information can be saved permanently in storage devices such as a hard disk, SSD, or pen drive for future use.
